We provide specialized job training in the technical field of telecommunication, to help improve the quality of life, of homeless and disadvantage individuals living in violent communities. Our expectation is to ensure that every individual graduates from the program, and use the skills they have developed to transition into the workforce industry, moving from homelessness to renters, from renters to homeowners.
Basic electrical skills, including 110/220 volt wiring, circuit breaker panels, lighting and receptacle installation to correspond with the national electrical code (NEC), how to use hand and power tools with an emphasis on Cal-Osha’s safety practices for the Electrical Industry. Each participant will receive certification in CPR and First Aid.
Telecommunication Cellular training consist of instruction in Telecommunication Civil Installations RF 700/800 Radio technology. Installation of Super flex and Hard flex, PPC connectors (4.3 connectors Din Male n Female). Installation of 48Volt 2 conductor power connectors. Installation of SFP Fiber cards. Installation of Burney grounding lugs and ground bars. Color Coding. Hand Tools, PPC connector gun and ladder safety.
We help our trainees obtain Man Lift certifications, (AWP) Ariel Work Platforms.
Our tour of SMUD Carpenter Hill Communications Site on May 24,2019. Viewing the facilities has allowed our Vocational Trainees an opportunity to see them self-doing something that could be life changing.
We provide food to help end hunger in our schools for homeless and underserved students. We partner with Love My Life, Inc. to provide meals and backpack with food and schools supplies.
